Jeremy Sole

This man has certainly got some fine musical taste!  Assure yourself of the eclectic gems that Jeremy Sole finds every week at his KCRW radio show or check his soundcloud to stay tuned. I really like his way of approaching music, especially that he remixes somewhat different music. But let him speak for himself, I allow myself to quote Mr. Sole explaining his vision of a remix (answering a comment on his remix of a Tom Waits Song)

“(…) Just like an original song is, a remix is a work of art. Art is always best understood in context, BUT can be just as fun (and fullfilling) when taken out of context too. (…)I personally love the challenge of not only re-working songs that I can easily improve on, but taking songs that I already think are perfect, and carefully enhancing certain elements for maximum effect on modern day sound systems. When the sub speakers are independent from the tweeters. Adding low tones and cleaner highs can literally re-introduce a song to a whole new generation. THAT is something too important to me to remain a purist about the original sound quality.”
